I really got great value for my money at this lovely, clean and well-designed hostel. The location was perfect, just a short 3-minute walk to the beautiful beach with plenty of restaurants nearby. The staff at Rutamar were incredibly friendly and made me feel right at home.

Food for breakfast could be improved with more variety or maybe some additional options.

This hostel was amazing! The staff were so welcoming and helpful, making me feel right at home. The rooms were spacious and clean, with a great fan and mosquito net. I loved the use of the kitchen and the abundance of hammocks to relax in. The location was perfect, just a few minutes' walk to the beach and all the shops and cafes. It had such a lovely vibe and I highly recommend staying here.

Honestly, there was nothing I disliked about this hostel. It was absolutely awesome.

I stayed in a cozy room with a comfortable bed and a mosquito net provided. The entire place was kept impeccably clean, making me feel safe and comfortable. The location was great, just a short walk from the beautiful beach and delicious seafood restaurants. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the breakfast provided was fresh and filling. I had a wonderful stay at Hostal Rutamar and would highly recommend it.

Although the rooms were small, they were well-maintained with nice decor. The only drawback was the lack of ventilation, which made the top bunk in the dormitory quite hot.

The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was very welcoming. Canoa is a friendly beach town, perfect for surfing and enjoying the bars and ceviche. I would highly recommend this hostel.

We absolutely loved this hostel! the cozy wood and bamboo decor, comfortable beds and sheets, and hot showers were all fantastic. As remote workers, we appreciated the ample seating and desk with plugs. the room had great details like a big mirror and plenty of hooks for our towels and clothes. the peaceful location away from the beach parties was perfect, and the super fast wifi was a big bonus. the cleanliness was impeccable, with new towels provided each time. Great value for money, and the host and staff were incredibly helpful and kind.

I recently stayed at Hostal Rutamar for a few days. The property is lovely, with a cool and colourful vibe. The front area with the tables was a perfect spot to chill, protected from the cold wind. The breakfast cooked from scratch every day was delicious. The staff were super nice and even set up a TV so we could watch the World Cup together. Great value for money and close to the beach and restaurants. Kitchen use was a bonus and there were plenty of hammocks to relax in. Free water and a small rooftop area to watch the sunset.

Stayed on the top bunk in a 4-person dorm room, and it did get hot without AC. But the mosquito net provided on the lower bunk was a great touch. The hostel was tranquil and clean, with a friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend staying here.

Despite the creepy crawlies and painful pillows, there were a few things I liked about this place. First of all, it was super cheap, so it didn't break the bank. the location was great, just a short walk to the beach and away from all the noisy beach bars. And lastly, the WiFi was surprisingly strong and fast, which was perfect for scrolling through my social media feeds.

OMG, the bugs! There were some creepy crawlers in my room one morning, and it really freaked me out.
